Founder
Patrick H. WYSS
Patrick established Wyss Associates, Inc. in 1981 as the first Landscape Architecture firm in South Dakota. Patrick oversaw many of the award winning projects while Principal of Wyss Associates. He is a resource and critic for project development.

Pat realizes the importance of providing a higher level of environmentally responsible design in landscape architectural projects. He believes that master planning and land design must respect and work within natural systems and the cultural landscape. He is skilled at public facilitation and enjoys the interactions with the community that occur during public meetings.

Patrick has served on the boards of several state and local municipality boards, donating countless hours of his time to the region.

Christopher M. Wehrle
Chris is a South Dakota native and Registered Landscape Architect in South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana and Virginia. Chris is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and has been key in the design of many of our award winning projects since 1997.

Chris has managed a diverse array of projects, each varying in complexity, character, scale, and budget. As a designer, his approach is to emphasize the small details that make a space feel unique; implied and physical boundaries, plant massing, and smart overgrowth.
​
When not designing, Chris can be found enjoying the outdoors with his wife, Melodie, their two children and their grandchildren.
