Custer to Custer State Park Bike Path
Wyss Associates, Inc. developed a 3-mile bike path extension from the community of Custer to Custer State Park along Highway 16A. The path provides a link between the Mickelson Trail and the new Gordon Stockade facility in Custer State Park. The trail follows a fairly direct, but leisurely route, along Highway 16A to east of Custer, crossing French Creek at four locations. The link enhances the pedestrian/bike travel from the community of Custer.
The Wyss team worked closely with The South Dakota Department of Transportation and Game Fish and Parks on the project.
