Wyss Associates, Inc. worked with the Rapid City Parks and Recreation Department to Master Plan a 27 Acre park in North Rapid City in 2007. In 2008-09 Phase I of the Master Plan was designed and is currently under construction. A community built, destination playground is being realized through coordination with Leathers and Associates and an active citizens committee.

Other features of the park are:

• Three open grass fields
• Natural areas
• Extensive natural surface walking paths
• Custom walls and tables
• Pedestrian bridge
• Sledding hill
• Restroom building
• Shelter and parking lots designed to clean and slow stormwater
  

Future phases will include an overlook, a skate park and a more fully developed dog park in the South Eastern corner of the site. The project was completed in the Summer of 2009.
