Custer State Park
Over the last 22 years Wyss Associates, Inc. has completed numerous resource planning and facility design projects in the historic 73,000 acre South Dakota State Park.
- 2007-2009 State Game Lodge - developed a new site master plan for the Game Lodge campus and plans for the new site features and remodel at the Game Lodge
- 2007-2008 Creekside Lodge - provided site and landscape design for the new construction of Creekside Lodge
- 2007-Blue Bell Lodge patio area improvements
- 2005-Custer to Custer State Park Bicycle Trail - developed a 3-mile bike path extension from the community of Custer to Custer State Park along highway 16A. The path provides a link between the Mickelson Trail and the new Gordon Stockade facility in Custer State Park
- 2004-Custer State Park Bicycle Trail - prepared a long term master plan to interconnect the State Game Lodge Campground with the Coolidge Campground with a paved bicycle trail
- 1999-2004-recommended improvements to the Gordon Stockade site be made in order better use and interpret the facility as part of long term planning for the Stockade Lake area.
- 1996-1997 prepared a bicycle trail plan to connect Stockade Lake with the Game Lodge evaluating various route opportunities
- 1995-1996-served as lead designers on the historic Peter Norbeck Visitor Center interpretive expansion, the Wildlife Loop Road Visitor Center restoration, the Elk Overlook construction and the Pedestrian Trails
- 1993-1995-coordinated the public input and media relations for the park's Natural Resource Management.
- 1988-prepared the Galena Fire Vegetative Management Plan which serves as a management guide for the impacted areas of this massive fire which cut though the core of the park
