Commissioned by the Custer School District, Wyss Associates, Inc. designed the track, football field and parking lot at the Custer High School stadium. The redesign included:
Lighted parking lot
Perimeter fence
Irrigation system
Drainage improvements
Irrigation for football field
Surrounded by an eight-lane, 400-meter all-weather track
These additions and improvements will increase student/player safety, result in fewer injuries, and provide year-round usage for students as well as members of the community. In addition to the students, various youth sports, walkers and joggers all use and benefit from the improvements to the track and field. Future phases include new sports lighting for the football field, an irrigated practice field stadium expansion and restroom improvements.
