Featured Project:

Elkhorn Ridge Golf Course

In July of 2007, construction began on the Front 9 holes of the Championship style golf course at Elkhorn Ridge.

The course is laid out to take advantage of the existing rolling prairie and the wooded ravines.  The learning center is located on the south side of the interstate and will be uniquely accessible thru the existing underpass.  Construction will begin in the spring of 2008 for the course maintenance facilities and the clubhouse.  Single Family and Multi Familty housing opportunities will exist within the master planned golf course. 

This is the second project for the 1000 Acre Master plan development provided by Wyss Associates, Inc. that is constructed.

This is just one of the many majestic views that the course offers.  The natural terrain at the Elkhorn Ridge Development offer the ideal landscape for golfers who appreciate and respect the natural environment.

Our commitment to quality and design leadership is evidenced in our work and achievements both individually and as a company.  Wyss Associates, Inc. have received numerous awards and recognition in our profession including:

• 1999 National Merit Award from the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) in the Planning Category for the Preservation Master Plan of Mount Moriah Cemetery in Deadwood, South Dakota.

• Merit Awards from the Great Plains Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.

• Patrick H. Wyss, FASLA was elected National Vice-President of the American Society of Landscape   Architects from 1992 to 1994.

• Wyss Associates’ Landscape Architecture projects have been featured in Landscape Architecture Magazine, American Nurseryman and The Wall Street Journal.

• Merit Award from the Great Plains Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects  for the design  of the Hart Ranch Golf Course.

• The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion, SD was recognized in Golf Digest magazine as one of the top five   golf courses in South Dakota.
